A-Capella World Music Choir

30 01 2010

Global Voices is a four-part (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) a-capella (without accompaniment) Christchurch choir.
We are dedicated to exploring global consciousness through the power of music, respecting and entering into the heart and spirit of other communities around the world. Each year we practise, perform, and learn new music together.
Our songs draw from folk, indigenous, spiritual and contemporary traditions. The repertoire includes music from Eastern Europe, Africa, the Pacific, Aotearoa New Zealand and more.

The 30-person choir is directed by Helen Charlton, a leading Christchurch singing teacher, choral conductor and nationally-recognised soprano in opera, chamber opera, music theatre and radio.
